Field Studies Council FREE Teacher Training for Secondary School Biology Courses at Epping Forest Field Centre

Urgent booking required for specific dates in Feburary & March 2024

These free sessions available for teachers based in nearby boroughs;

  • Session 1: Biodiversity and climate change
  • Session 2: Focus on communities
  • Session 3: Abiotic and biotic factors
  • Session 4: Maths and ecology.

This session will take place at Epping Forest Field Centre. Required practical with use of microscopes.

This course is designed to introduce non-ecology specialists to the ecology of Wanstead Park, in order to increase teacher confidence in delivering ecology and the required practical. Suitable for all exam boards.

The course is made of 3 twilight sessions to be run from 4-6pm, and one full day session which will be run on a Saturday at Epping Forest Field Centre.

The two blocks will be similar in content covered so attendees can choose a mix of sessions between the blocks, i.e. sessions 1 and 2 from block 1 and sessions 3 and 4 from block 2.

(Please note this teacher training course is non-residential)

  • Session 4: Maths and ecology

Saturday 2nd March 10am – 3.30pm
Saturday 9th March 10am – 3.30pm
