Storytelling

A Storytelling school trip can pique an interest or enthusiasm for reading from a young age, which is clearly very important for any child’s development. Through reading children can be open to learn about life and the world around them through an engaging and exciting story regardless of age or ability. Reading can help promote an understanding of traditions and cultural differences and has been proven over time, to help a listener develop empathy within by considering our own actions and reactions to things and others. A storytelling event school trip can be especially useful for children ranging from nursery to Key stage 1 to Key stage 4 ages, developing pupils’ competence with literacy and core language across the school curriculum, encouraging imagination, art, creativity, and also helping with focus and social skills as they listen to others and learn the patience to let others speak.
