What we offer on a school trip
High Adventure is an all year round premier outdoor education centre delivering high quality outdoor activity school residentials to primary and secondary schools.
We tailor an activity programme to suit your school objectives, with over 30 exciting activities to choose from including watersports, indoor cave maze, high ropes course, climbing, caving in real caves (for the more adventurous) and many more along with evening entertainment. We are also a leading provider of GCSE PE & BTEC courses.
What stands us apart (and comes through in the feedback we receive) is our enthusiastic and professional instructors who really do make the difference.
Stay in our comfortable dorm rooms, many with ensuite and enjoy home cooked meals.
High Adventure Outdoor Education centre is located on the edge of the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by countryside. We are within easy reach of the M62 and only an hour’s drive from Leeds, Preston and just over an hour away from Manchester and Lancaster.
We also have an exciting summer adventure camp for schools located in Lancashire, ideal for larger year groups looking to experience an outdoor adventure residential altogether.

Schools book with us because we deliver high quality, engaging activities, run by professional, enthusiastic and fully qualified instructors. Our choice of activities perfectly combines an extensive range of on-site activities with the option to go offsite to enjoy water sports as well as activities in natural environments such as caving in real caves.
Our centre is a home from home environment, offering comfortable dorm rooms, home-cooked food and good indoor facilities for all year round adventures.
What is typically included on our school trips
We are able to facilitate up to 151 visitors in total, with the many of the rooms having en-suite facilities and/or ample toilets and showers on the same floor, close to rooms for easy access.
Our site has two accommodation buildings. The main 93 bed centre is complemented by an additional 59 bed Primary school focused building called The Nook.
The Nook is a self-contained accommodation building designed for the use of primary school groups of up to 57 students and 7 teachers. It has its own dining room, social spaces and teachers’ lounge. The Nook is separate to the 100 bed main centre accommodation. Both buildings can be booked for exclusive use.
The main centre has multiple breakout areas and additional entertainment.

Pricing Information
We work hard to keep our prices affordable with shorter and longer stay options and special offers in the winter months including a 2 night stay for £99pp+VAT.
At High Adventure we ask for small upfront booking deposit and then nothing else to pay until after your school trip. Please enquire via our website to receive a quote. Teachers are free of charge.
Accessibility & Disabled Facilities
We can cater onsite for different needs. We have disabled access toilets and ramp access available into buildings.
However, the geography of the site can be difficult for some wheelchair users to negotiate and it is always best to contact us/perform a site visit to chat through specific needs and ensure we can meet them as not all facilities will be suitable for some requirements.

We are a premier outdoor education provider in Yorkshire with modern, comfortable rooms, en-suite facilities available, plenty of social areas, canteen & excellent on & off-site, indoor & outdoor activities. We're really well set up for adventure and provide wet weather gear, wet suits and have drying rooms on-site. Teachers have access to a kitchen, lounge & wi-fi.
