What makes us a great choice for education
Canterbury Guided Tours offer entertaining 90-minute walking tours for visiting groups to this historical part of Kent. Explore the heart of Canterbury, surrounded by Roman walls, and discover the sights and sounds of this ancient city, full of history and medieval charm.
Tour highlights may include; The Buttermarket, Butchery Lane, The King’s Mile, The King’s Bridge (including the infamous Ducking Stool!), the murder of Thomas Becket, the grounds of King's School (the oldest in the country), and the iconic ‘crooked house’. Each tour will also journey around the outside of the magnificent Cathedral.
Every tour is tailored to the group’s requirements and will be created specifically for the age group and study programme, if required. This can be in the form of our Themed Tour option which can include tour topics such as; Romans, Tudors, Canterbury Tales, War Time Canterbury, Literary Connections, among many others! Your tour can be arranged at a day and time to suit your school group’s schedule and itinerary.
