What we offer on a school trip
With plenty of farmyard animals to discover, the focus is on learning through having fun from its many demonstrations and shows, tractor rides and adventure play.
At Hatton Adventure World, you can now tailor-make your visit for either Farm Fun (ideal for Foundation Stage) or Educational (developed for Key Stages 1 and 2). With an Educational Visit you select 1 of 6 key topics, all created in line with the National Curriculum, which will be led by our dedicated guides - so you can ensure the children gain the best experience to support learning in the classroom.

Your trip to Hatton includes an exciting mix of shows, demonstrations and adventure play designed for your group at your pace - because you can decide what you would like to include during your visit from our daily programme.
Hatton Adventure World also has the largest soft play in the Midlands. Your children will love the slides and rope bridges with separate baby and toddler areas so all children can play safely.

Demonstrations and Shows:
Created for children, our demonstrations and shows are both fascinating and entertaining. Discover the agility of birds of prey in the stunning Falconry Displays, watch Hatton's Sheepstakes to see which of our woolly friends is first across the finish line or take a trip on the Tractor Safari on a journey across the Hatton Estate.
Learning through Discovery:
Discover the many wonderful animals at Hatton as your guide* explains all about them, how they are looked after, what they like to eat and the importance of animals to the countryside.
Children can meet rabbits, lambs, goats and ducks in our Farmyard Favourites pens, plus some bigger farm animals including sheep, pigs, cows and alpacas in our paddocks around the Adventure World.
Children can see many varied crops, vegetables and fruits planted and guess what's growing above and below ground!

Hatton Guides
Our friendly guides ensure that children gain the maximum benefit from their visit as they show you around the Adventure World answering all your questions. For Farm Fun visits guides are free when requested for bookings of 20 visitors or more. A guide will automatically be provided for our Educational Visits.
Example Itinerary:
A typical day at Hatton for children taking the KS2 Educational programmes as follows. This is based on the Animal Adaptations itinerary.
Itinerary - Animal Adaptations
10.30am - Following a welcome health and safety talk in one of our heated picnic areas, the group is divided into groups of 30 and each given their dedicated guide for the day. The guide will explain exactly what is planned for the day ahead and engage the children when delivering the health and safety talk.
11am - Hatton's Sheepstakes Sheep Racing
One of the funniest moments of the day is Hatton's sheep racing, this gives the children the opportunity to express all of their excitement and energy whilst cheering our woolly friends around the track. 6 Sheep compete in the race from Red Ram, to fleece lightning, Ewe Never Know to Pull Over and Lamboughini to Streaka Mutton.
11.15am - Farmyard Favourites
Feeding our collection of farm animals is one of the most important parts of the day. All the children get the opportunity to get up close with our sheep and goats and for many this is the first time they have ever experienced this. With some gentle persuasion from our guides soon the whole group is involved. The fascinating process of egg incubation is also demonstrated here, with children seeing chicks and ducks and if they are lucky one may even be hatching during their visit.
Farmyard Favourites is an ever changing livestock experience, varying throughout the year with piglets, alpacas, reindeer, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits, donkeys and ponies all calling farmyard favourites home.
11.40am - Guinea Pig Village. Hatton is home to over 100 cute and furry guinea pigs in their very own village setting. Here the children get to hold, feed and interact with the guinea pigs, which for any children who may have found the farm animals daunting, provides an approachable and friendly animal alternative. The guide will get the children thinking about how we look after animals and encourage gentle and sensible interactions.
12pm - Lunch in a heated, covered area
12.30pm - Animal Adaptations.
There are 6 educational topics for groups to choose from, ranging from caring for animals to bugs and beasties, all geared towards the national curriculum. Animal adaptations is based in our fully equipped educational area with Scales and Tails. This heated room comprises of a benched theatre area where the children can have a dedicated 30 minute talk with their guide.
Animal adaptations uses animals from within scales and tails to teach the children about habitats in a fun and interactive way. Using different outfits, 3 volunteers are used to represent adaptations from around the world, whether that be a thick woolly coat to represent our chinchillas, a green camouflage outfit to represent our royal pythons or a khaki hat to represent our bearded dragons, there's an animal for everyone! Touching the animals allows the children to compare textures, sensations and adaptations from all corners of the globe. Many children have never touched scaly? animals before and they leave being well and truly fascinated by what they have experienced.
1.15pm - Tractor Safari
Hatton Adventure World is set in the most beautiful Warwickshire countryside, and what better way to see it than on our tractor safari ride. This 15 minute journey takes place through our livestock and arable fields and changes throughout the seasons. The children could witness our sheep giving birth or our cows with their calves, wheat growing in the fields or wildlife in the hedgerow.
1.30pm Playtime
If there is time at the end of the guide the children can run off some steam in anyone of our fully equipped play areas, from indoor soft play, to JCB tractors, or sand pits to swings there's something for all ages.
Group Sizes Catered For
Our discounted group rates are applicable to groups of a minimum of 15 paying children. Maximum group size on request. In addition, you will get one FREE adult for every 5 paying children
Materials, Resources & Information Provided
Teacher's resource packs are available tailored for Key Stage 1 and 2. All our guides will also provide you with relevant information and answer questions during your visit.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
You are allowed to take pictures of the animals and facilities at Hatton and children in your own group only or as advised under the school/group photographic policy.
Risk Assessment Details
Hatton Adventure World will provide its own risk assessment for a group visit. We also welcome visits by group leaders/teachers to undertake their own risk assessment and do a familiarization visit by calling 01926 843411.
We also provide Health and Safety advice sheets to Teachers and Group Leaders.
Education Officer Information
We do not have a dedicated educational officer but a group booking advisor and support from all the regulatory bodies to undertaken group bookings.
Pricing Information
We welcome bookings from schools, parent and toddler groups, Brownies and Cubs etc.
Admission prices vary according to the time of year. Prices shown below are our discounted rates applicable to pre-booked groups of a minimum of fifteen or more paying children and applies to both children and adults.

Included in the price is admission to the Adventure World, animal feed, all shows, demonstrations and activities.
*If requested on the booking form for our Farm Fun visits, guides are free where the total booking is for 20 visitors or more. For our Educational Visits, guides are automatically provided.
Under 2's are admitted FREE to the Adventure World
One adult FREE with every 5 paying children
To make a booking please first call 01926 843411 to check availability and make your provisional booking.
You will then need to complete and return the group booking form with your deposit (£50) at least three weeks prior to your visit date. On receipt of your signed booking form and deposit your booking will be confirmed by us in writing.
On the day of your visit the Admissions Kiosk will issue you an invoice based on the actual number of admissions for payment.
Clothing Requirements
We recommend that children bring strong outdoor shoes or wellington boots for their visit depending on the time of year. This is a countryside location and the ground can be uneven and muddy. We also suggest a rainproof jacket.
Available Facilities
Hand washing facilities with warm water are accessible in the Adventure World.
An undercover lunch area is available and there are also picnic areas.

Accessibility & Disabled Facilities
We provide disabled parking and toilets with disabled access. As a countryside location the ground is bumpy but can be navigated in a wheelchair with care. If your group has special needs, please speak to our booking advisor and let us know how we may possibly offer additional support to maximize the enjoyment of the group visit. If we are able to assist in any way we will be happy to help.
