Cholderton Rare Breeds farm is a rustic, charming family friendly farm with not only stunning animals to interact with, but they also have plenty of grounds to explore and facilities to suit groups of all types and sizes.

What is typically included on our school trips

They have options available for all ages of students, as standard, entry includes access to their daily range of animal experiences including activities like Guinea Pig Fishing, Animal Encounters, Pig Races, feeding the Rare Breeds, plus access to their Woodland Play Area, Soft Play barn and other play areas. For older groups they are able to host educational talks on particular animals and offer husbandry experiences. With areas and barns available to hire too, they can create tailor made visits for each group’s needs.

The Farm can supply their risk assessment for School and educational groups along with their public liability insurance.

Pricing Information

£3 per child for school groups during weekdays and term times.

One free adult per 10 children.

Coach drivers get a free coffee.

Clothing Requirements

We recommend warm practical outdoor clothes (sensible for weather conditions) and wellies or walking boots (suitable for walking on grass/mud)

We have first aid trained staff on site and several first aid points around the farm.
